what should i be looking for?

Hi Everyone.
Ive been a toyota celica gt4 owner for the last few years and fancy a change.
I really wanna get a gtir but not sure if there is any common faults i should be looking for.
Ive got £6000 maybe abit more a wanna buy a beast of a gtir.
Would prefer a forged piston engine but just want a 300+bhp motor which prity bullet proof.
Any help is appreciated
