What would it take to make a 10 second car???......bare alot of money

Hi guys. I was at santa pod last Saturday for run what you brung and I saw a mk1 and mk2 golf :evil: do the quarter mile in just over in 10 seconds and I was hoping there be pulsars out there that would do it in 10 seconds.

I was just wondering what spec would be need to do it?? :p

The same spec that a few of us run (5-550bhp and a good driver with a gearbox brace). the car is capable of faster than alot of times posted

Think of the amount of money that's been put into the development of the Golf over the years, combined with the fact that it accommodates larger engines with relative ease and to see them making 10 second passes isn't that surprising. Contrast that with the R, which has always been a nearly man in terms of tuning development and adaptability. There are some potential 10 second cars out there so hopefully the next couple of years will see some decent times posted by some seriously sorted cars.

Doesn't bare just mean a lot, although a lot a lot of money is about right :-D
