Posting on behalf of VPulsar.I think it's the rubber tube that goes on the end of the idle valve screw(guides screwdriver in as hard to see it).Anyone know better?

Yep, Looks like the idle controll screw tube.

I Just removed the one of my motor the other week so I could see the screw.

ive spoke to si bout this and i really am clueless to were u mean it goes and its getting anoying lol :cry:

That is definitely the rubber tube that covers the idle adjust screw.

It has holes in it and a brass collet inside. It should be fitted with the holes nearest the plenum / screw.

I junked mine - But I am concerned by the holes and the brass thing in the tube - looks like it is supposed to do more than just guide a screwdriver..... oh well.. mine fell down the back of the engine never to be seen again.... :oops:
