Which ReCon box

I have read on the forum about other peoples gearbox probs, and they have gone recon.

Well now my box has blown and depending on weather i might be able to repair mine with lots of help from Olly (thanks) or go for the recon option, so i request the help of the forum:

Which recon box/company has people here used,
how much,
how reliable,
are they recommended with lots of history with Rs,
how are the boxes u have bought survived so far?

Norris Designs recon?
Garry GTiR spares recon?

I'm only ever looking to go to 1bar-1.2bar
And i'm in reach of brighton to swindon

Any help would be great,

with all due respect to all you mention,i`d only go to someone like bernie braden who is a transmission specialist rather than someone who is a tuner.a specialist can rec`d fixes and see faults a lot quicker than say a tuner. www.gearboxman.co.uk

use olly then you know it been done properly as i have seen boxs repaired by so call gearbox builds that have not been shimmed properly so they dont mesh properly :roll:

none of my gearboxes are reconditioned by me i send them to a as oap-r puts it a transmission specialist or in other words a company that rebuilds gearboxes all day every day :D

personally i wouldnt know where to start when it comes to gearboxes and now i dont do any work on my 'R' myself i leave that to either olly or mike to do :wink:

sorry gary was not have a dig at you just did a job for a guy yesterday and he had four box in five years and all have fail been done by loads of different places
