i have had this problem sice day 1,i waited 4 months to get in at hiteq for knock sensor and front crank pulley to be changed and still the r keeps going into safe mode.uncle ian says i need to get hold of a second hand crank angle sensor and he will be able 2 swap it 2 see if that sorts it. :x ive had massive bills for the r and still no joy, and no mods! some 1 must be able 2 help me as its doing my nut in big time and i need it sorted so i can get 2 totb3 :D

There's a way of grounding the knock sensor-you fit a resistor off ECU pin.This will stop the ECU from cutting boost etc but will leave you open to det damage so I'd fit a Knocklink at same time if you do it.
