will this fault code cause....

code 34 DET sensor i have ordered a new one but while its on its way would this fault code make the car feel sluggish , and uneven boost pattern, not hard at pulling and slight hesitation?

if its not causing these problems then i will start with the usual plug n leads and so on and so on but just wanted to see if this could be cuasing it too

I had similiar and it was a leak - but only on boost.

With a code 34 you will get a sluggish responce as the ECU retards the ignition timing by 10 degs.

Not as simple as that, it goes into a knock map that varies the retard its not fixed -10deg.

Bit of a hi-jack and probably a daft question. just curious how the ECU retards the ignition timing, i thought that was just contolled by the dizzy cap being rotated and was mechnical.....? sorry if its a stupid question.
