AP Racing CP5100 caliper - hose?

I've just been fiddling around with installing a 295mm AP kit, but one thing puzzles me - I've got some goodridge hoses in the front , and it seems that the "eye" end of the hose is to thin, so that the bolt that goes into the caliper hits the end of its thread before the "eye" is securely fastened.

Has anyone got any idea if I'm supposed to use a different "eye" hose? The bolt from the OE caliper is shorter, so that it barely holds the hose in place.

And what is that "eye" called actually? :D

You mean the banjo fitting ;-) Like this one:

Aftermarket banjo's are usually slightly thinner than on the standard rubber brakelines. Are you using the banjo bolts that were supplied with the brakelines?

Oh, it's a banjo bolt that goes through a banjo fitting? Clever stuff. :D

I didn't get any hoses with the calipers, so I don't have much to compare with. I've got two sets of goodridge hoses, and they're about half the width they should be when I put the bolt fully in. I'll check with BG developments as well to see what they say, as they supply a hose kit for the R with these calipers. I'll probably just get a set from them, just trying to figure out that I'm not doing something really wrong first. :D

have you used the 2 copper washers that are needed either side trond?

The hose they supplied me is 8.2mm thick on the banjo for my CP5200 calipers. There were no bolts supplied, just 4 copper washers.

I've just found I have the same problem. The goodridge end is about 1.5mm thinner than the standard hose so the banjo grounds out before it's all the way in. It looks like it needs another 2-3mm, I didn't fancy forcing it incase it damaged the caliper.
I've had to retain the standard hose, until I can get old of a shorter banjo bolt or give goodridge the hoses back along with an oe hose so that they can make one the right size and put the retaining nut thingy on that clips to the damper.
