Get your car on the rollers for a power run and the fuelling checked. At least then you'll know if anything is wrong.

What turbo do you have as I can't see it in your spec. Standard turbo would suggest a good 320bhp with cams.

Did you drop the gears (to 2nd for example) and redline it or just stick in 5th when he chased you?

na i was in 3 gear at low revs about 1800 rpm and i floored it but i got a problem i cant hold it flat out in any gear cos when i get to 1 bar boost on my contoller the car missfires!! fink its the plugs again!! it keeps destroying plugs!

Oh, and sort out your txt speak please, read the forum rules and it mentions txt speak posts will be deleted ;-)

If it keeps destroying the plugs you have a problem (possibly running lean) , so a trip to the rollers for a set up may be an idea.

What plugs are you using and what gap.

A V6 will have more torque than you at low rpm so if you were in 3rd at 1800rpm, he could have even been in 1st still and easily kept up with you.

I currently have the bkr8eix (I think it's that code)

Is it melting the plugs or something else?

I'd strongly suggest a visit to the rollers to check it out.

what diffrence does it make??
it makes a difference and if you can't see that then perhaps you should have paid more attension at school

please read the forum rules regarding the use of bad spelling/grammer/txt speak.

well its not really melting the plugs they just start to missfire! and if i replace them it sorts it!!
regarding your issue, you might want to try a search on here for spark blow out or misfire, this issue has been covered and there is plenty of info on it.

the plugs your using should be fine

You'll find it could be a few things, basically it's a spark power/strength problem.

The power made by the stadard ignition system in good condition will cope with most power demands but something (or a few things) in your ignition systems is getting a little tired and this effecting the power getting to the plugs.

Basically you need to increase the power going to the plugs.

You could probably sort it by replacing the exsisting ignition parts for good "known to work" standard ignition parts.

Things to check would be your plug leads, standard coil, ignition amp and earthing points round the engine bay. You will also find the problem goes away for a while if you clean off the 4 posts inside the distributer cap with some sand paper or something.
Do you still run the standard small jap battery, is it under the bonnet or has it been moved to the boot ?

Just do a search on here and you might pick up the info you need
