bleed nipples sheered off

As per title, both bleed nipples on my caliper have sheered. One has left some of the thread proud of the caliper so im hoping it will come out. the other by the feel has stripped the thread inside the caliper and at the moment wont come out either. Local machine shop have said that with the bleed nipples already being quite large they may struggle to repair as there isnt the same scope to just tap a new thread in, and are wanting £50 +vat and cant guarantee that they can sort it. Anyone else had similar problem, or any suggestions to sort. The calipers are tar-ox 6pots.

I hate when that happens

Best thing to do is heat them up with a gas torch or similar and when hot, cool with cold water. This can help with removing ceased nipple like this.

If you have a tap kit then I’d certainly try using it. You could always try putting some long nosed pliers down the nipple, pull the handles apart to force the pliers apart also, then attempt twisting out the nipple.
That might work it might not, I've tried it in the past and it’s worked, but not often as I would have liked

ive spent the past 2 weeks putting freeing oil on them to try and stop this happening. First one was badly corroded so wasnt suprised it sheered. Its gone with a fair bit of thread still exposed and wasnt leaking fluid at all but obviously couldnt use it. Thought the second one was going to be ok. Felt like it was moving then just went. Certainly seems like its done the treads which is my big worry.
