Hi as a new GTIR owner , my gtir has some engine mods already which with paper work shows its got 321bhp - can you guys suggest any good mods that will increase the bhp without going extreme ??? Any help would be great :thumbsup:

Well what i know as i only got part of the paperwork is that i've got a large front mount intercooler, upgraded garet turbo , hks induction filter, full stainless exhaust which i've since put on a stainless tubular manifold and decat , i dont know if yellow injectors are standard or an upgrade , forge actuator, hks apexi valve controller, manual boost , billet 4 pots - i've not taken the rocker cover off as yet to see if there is cams - just want some advice and suitable tuning guidence - this car will be used for track days only - any help and advice would be great ????:thumbsup:

yellow injectors are strd,what clutch has it got ,set of good coilovers,if you want more than 320bhp then some sort of uprated ecu ie emange,550 0r 700 injectors

It has a exedy racing clutch and i've just fitted brand new bc racing coilovers - a z32 afm seems to be a common upgrade is this worth fitting and what difference does this make ???

Without tuning - none. But if you're going for high horsepower, the OE one won't be able to handle the airflow. So, the z32 is the next step.

(Or the "lesser" Q45 if you find that it fits your needs)

its worth fitting as if you are going for larger power then the standard air flow sensor will max out you WILL need some sort of engine management or at the very least a safc to run this though

If i was to fit bigger injectors this emanage ecu and the z32 afm will this increase the bhp and if so what sort of increase would i be looking at - where would you guys reccomend getting the emanage ecu from and is this the best route to go ??

Unless you also up the boost as well, those mods alone won't do anything but dent your wallet, as you will have to get your emanage set up. And an "upgraded" turbo doesn't really tell me much. :)

You don't say if the exhaust is turbo-back. If it isn't, you should get in on the group buy here, as the standard elbow is pretty restricitve.

I take it you have an HKS EVC? if so then you cant have a manual boost controller as well
Could be one of those bizarre Apexi exhaust valve things!?
One setting for driving past your neighbours... and another for when you want to give it some welly (it's basically just a butterfly in the exhaust).

best thing to do is get ur full spec on mate n also know weather u have stock internals as depending on how well looked after your engine standard engines with stock internals in my opinion can only hack 300-340 bhp. i blew my bottom end right off at 350bhp. the standard MAF can only handle 350 if ur lucky, but u need other supporting mods for u to gain an increase. plus its best knowing what sorta increase or power your looking for.
