Tried allsorts carl to be honest . I. Don't want to make excuses as it is what it is but I think there is something up with it. Up top any way. And my thoughts may have just been confirmed as I just had a car sit with me from 100-125/130. I know my elbow is loose but I can't see it making that much difference. All I can do is give it another shot. Also I have a full rollcage in now so slightly more weight. Still not sure why the times were so irratic as 60fts were all 1.9 to 2.1 .
Steve

Ps had a cracking weekend regardless.

If your elbow is loose check the turbo isn't loose too as when mine was loose, everything was loose.

Unlucky with the gearbox fella. Mine made it there and back under its own steam although sounding abit rough. Could you put those vids up please would appreciate it.i. carl I'm pretty sure the manifold is blowing slightly. Gonna strip it when I get time. I think the 11 is there just not this weekend

Hi there mate,my spec is in here...
http://www.gtiroc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43022
Still on the standard turbo , ecu , cams etc running about 1.2bar dropping to 0.9ish in the high revs as i think i have a dodgy actulator.

I am uploading the vids now so should have a couple up in 20mins.
They are not great quality but ok,your vids came out better than mine:lol:

The shift fork may have bent/snapped as i have tryed that mod out of the nissan group n manuel thing by changing the insulator bush in the gearlinkage for a piece of box section to improve the feel.Or it may have been iffy from when i raced my mate up santa pod in feb when i missed 3rd for 5th and it never felt the same since lol.

I have got an RB box but i have never used it on the quater mile.Fastguy must be extra quick on the gearchanges as he will be using 5th!
I must admit the RB gearbox flys through the gears but i would of thought that the extra gearchange would slow you down, but obviosly not in fast guys case lol.

Heres your vid vs the scoob;-)

Had a quick look the other day. Turbo seems secure carl, but looks like the manifold to head gasket has gone on a vacation! Looks to me as if bits have blown out everywhere! Gonna need to strip it off for a closer look. Do you think that make have been the cause of my lack in performance?

If you're loosing exhaust gases there, they won't be making the turbo spin up, so I'd say yes it would affect performance.

I checked Nisr227s letstorquebhp.com site and it reckons I need about another 10bhp or 25kg less to knock off those 64thou to get an 11.99 1/4 on the standard turbo. (304bhp and 1075kg)

Well I've knocked 40kg off and got the car to 1060kg today.

The only problem now is, my fuel pump has packed up, so I need to replace it tomorrow to go racing on saturday.

Fitted a lighter door, stripped just about all of the rest of the intertior bar the roof lining, finally fitted the side lexan windows and I think some of it must have been fuel weight due to less fuel.
