dont look like they would simply bolt on but could possibly be done with some sort of adapter plate.

ive been looking into this today, would need some sort of adapter plate..
look quite simular.. trouble isanotherthing would be the transfer box.. i mean im not sure how big they are on the evo's.. and i assume u couldnt use a pulsar one as i mean whats the chances of them fitting..

i would use ppg before i used quaiffe.
but for £2500 i could fit 5 reconditioned standard gearboxes

but yeah I wish this type of brack/plate would be made for us to use GTR gearboxes.. they're 4WD so I'm sure we could use a GTR box + Tranny and customise the prop a bit to fit for us!!

Obviously though we'll lose the back seats because the design of the box, the driver would be quite far back - then I guess we'd need to move the dash back, pedals etc.. ok forget the idea lol

lol this my route.. i cant understand how anyone can justify spending 2500 on a gearbox that still has no guarantee it wont blow to bits:der:

yeah evo 3 have the gearbox fitted to the drivers side so that would not work.

If you take look at the photos for the north west rally you can see that Tony Bardy runs a no standard box maybe some one can identify it from said photos ?

he runs a h pattern straight cut dogbox, its not in a standard case but is specific to gtirs. Probably some old nme part. Theres very little point in looking at his car and wondering where you can get the parts from, as you cant.

why is it a headache?
even if you buy a brand new gearbox from quaife, they will only guarantee the warranty if you run less than 300hp.
so a rebuilt standard gearbox comes in at around £500, at least if it pops your not losing all that money.

have you ever looked under the bonnet of a gtr?
I reckon rebuilding them myself i can sort out most broken boxes with £100 worth of bits, so i could go through 25 boxes before i've spent quaiffe money ;-)
Only another 21 boxes to go :lol:
