hows my luck

just done a trackday at brandshatch today (lovely bright dry day) so i was gonna try put in some good times and beat my fastest lap.
steve-gtir turned up to watch and i offered him a passenger ride as he had never been on a track before, so off we set!

not going too bad for first 3 laps and making good progress, then i start to push it once i had got some heat into the rubber.
just coming out of graham hill bend and set up a 911 to overtake and craaaaack! lost 3rd and 4th gear:doh::sad: then the porker overtook us again lol.

this is my quaife box aswell:shock: im hoping that its the selector thats snapped and its not shredded those 2 gears.

so for the second time in a month its been an early trackday (only got around 10 laps all day)
what with the freak problem at oulton park and now this im seriously peeeeed off, its just sheer bad luck:sad:

on another note though, ive decided to keep the yellow one ive just bought with msa logbook and strip my car, seeing as ive got to pull it apart again!
i may sell the rolling shell with wide arch kit and cage etc all fitted, but il start another thread for that.

at least ive got the winter to sort the banana mobil out and i may race this next year in barc seeing as the books all been stamped up and it has a proper cage.

the funny thing is that i have too much mechanical sympathy if anything trev lol, never launch car and always change gear smoothly!

i really do think im just jinxed with bad luck on track (unforseen freak things just keep happening), can thrash car otr and never have a prob but soon as the car seems to get near a track it goes into panic mode and throws a wobbler, think it just likes spending time in workshop trying to look pretty:lol:

at least ive made my mind up with the yellow one though so guess its made me make a decision on that front.

Bob They use to say in the army keep it simple stupid.
I wish i did my car would still be going now, may be you have to many flash bits on your car and you need to sell them to me really cheaply lol

I know how you feel.

Next time your out on a track drive it like you stole it, i mean what harm could it do?? it seems to let you down everytime your on the track so drive it like a southerner on the M25:lol:

it wont be driven any more dave, its gonna meet its maker for fcuking me about too much:lol: im gonna concentrate all my efforts into the banana mobil hopefully my luck will change with that

Big thanks again bob for taking me round brands , really enjoyed it , was a shame about the gearbox going as the lap times where getting quicker , and as per normal nothing was getting past the R

went to the jaguar garage bob and got a ride round in a xkr with the touring car driver , and he didnt hang around , driving right upto the limits of the car .
