Nissan Gasket Kit

well my Nissan Gasket kit arrived to day

Have to say im shocked at how poor the quality is of the head gasket and exhaust gasket are !!!!

On the bright side these are the bits i dont need

I picked up the head gasket dan and it almost Bent in half in me hand, lol
But i suppose its because in comparing it to the hks Hg i have which is 4 times more exspensive so a little unfair.
also the exhaust gasket nowhere near the quality of the 5 layer 200sx Nissan one i got of steve.
The rest of the kit looks good thou

i see's, got everything you need now though to build the engine!

so the headgasket is shit because it nearly bent in half? :der::der::der::der:

I just think it's a stupid way to determine the quality of a part that

a: it's only job is to seal the head to the block

b: isn't designed not to bend

c: has probibly lasted far longer than any other headgasket ever fitted to an R.

d: err, see a

I always throw my pistons on floor to test for strength and stab my tire with a knife to test if its good rubber

Both excellent ways to test stuff! :thumbsup:


The best exhaust gasket to get is the one for the S14, it's about 25 quid now

Sorry stumo
as i said i was only looking at it compared to my other, which as i said cost 4 times more and was not as floppy, to the point where it has bent by the cam chain bit, when getting it out of the box and would say might be unusable now!
