Near the bottom of the timesheets from what the announcers were saying, although I have no idea what sort of times it achieved.

Bull, you don't go on time attack to save the box.
All that talk and hype to not even be in the top 5.
I'll give it to the next round before the slating begins.
Makes you wonder what a normal looking Gti-r with the same power would have run.
Face it the Pulsars just aren't good enough to compet with the big money spending real tunners.
BTW who is paying for all this dd or Craig?????

In the 2 close snaps, 1 picture has the Gti-r in front of the Wallece Performance Evo, next quick snap the Gti-r is behind, so before even reading I gathered it didn't do too well.
Some say it may bring good to the Gti-r showing in Time Attack, i think with a bad performace it will kill the Gti-r reputation even more.
Should have just stayed to quater miles.
The failed rallying of the Gti-r was bad enough.

To be honest after blasting the last box to bits I think they've done all right today.
Talking to Perry (jnr) a smaller turbo was fitted to make it more responsive round the track, so compare it to the other cars with more R&D, investment and modern technology, its not doing too bad.
If you look at the TR Racing Skyline, its had its problems and still not setting competitive times. Like any new car it needs time to be tested, all the problems worked out and new upgrades designs/fitted.
If I owned the DD/Craig's GTiR I'd get some trackday's booked for testing and general set-up before the next round.
Get data from the car, make adjustments to the suspension, engine, ecu and anything else that can be played with.
To write off now or after the next round is a little naive, its taken me years to get my track car to what I want it and even still, it needs amendments and new additions incorporated to make it better.
At the end of the day I watched the last few laps with Perry (snr) behind the wheel and he looked like he was pushing the car hard than I've seen previously. The more seat time he gets I think they better they will be able to determine what needs to be done to harmonise the car and get the potential it could possibly achieve.
Lets not kid ourselves, its not going to be a front runner this year, but with time and investment, it could pull some interesting results.

It looks like 11th in Pro/Club Pro combined class overall , and sub 1 minute laps. - It was placing about 9th in classifying.
That's still faster than at least one EVO 8 and two Skylines ; it seems they went better in sector 3 than in the first two.

i have to agree with topdog here but also with andys comments.
fact is that the car should have not entered this year untill all the bits were sorted on it.
it does give the gtir a bad name finishing near the foot/bottom half of the table so surely it would have made more sense (as andy suggested) to do trackdays and testdays in car this year and note the times on various tracks, aclimatise the driver with car, and also weigh up the competitors lap times at the various venues and compare to your own times.
this is the reason why ive not yet entered my car into any racing as tbh im off the pace of a top 6 finish, once i get within 2 seconds of steve fergusons times then its chocs away chaps lol, but at the end of the day its no use if your getting your butt whooped by other competitors.
you have to get your driving and car upto scratch before entering or it doesnt do yourself or the gtir rep any use at all.

Thought I would give you all a quick overview of Knockhill yesterday.
We had a fantastic day and to those who we met it was a pleasure to meet you all.
I appreciate there is always someone who is going to do things differently but we are extremely happy with yesterdays results and the general talk in the paddock is that the GTiR is one to watch for the up and coming races.
The best run of the day for us was 56 seconds which was just 2.2 seconds off an outright class win.
I noticed someone mention that this was embarrassing for the gtir but the more informed amongst us will appreciate that a car that has only completed 50 competitive laps running within 2.2 seconds of an outright class win is outstanding.
We are very pleased with the handling, balance and braking of the car so can now concentrate on upping the power .

Yes, Car's got a quaife in now.
Not sure on the noise level George as there was no testing but turbo is smaller than previous one so yes, it probably is a bit quieter.
Id never been to knockhill and apart from it being in the middle of nowhere, was a pretty decent track.
Everyone was very good and the atmosphere was great. Some fantastic cars there, including a very nice Escort Cossie Motorsport and a Redbrick Racing Evo which unfortunately had problems the day before so did not manage to race.
Car Planet won the overall with the Exige coming very close second.
