non starting problem

just thought id pick your brains so i have a head start in the morning.

went to pick my car up from bodyshop today and battery was flat, lad went to put jump leads on but fitted them on the wrong terminals, quickly took them off as they sparked straight away.

now the car wont start, its cranking over and fuelling but not getting a spark. tried another coil and it still didnt work.
what voltage reading should i be getting from coil and ignition amplifier?
from coil im only getting 7v, ign amp is 10v on the white/black wire and 3v on the green wire.

will get hold of another ign amp to try tomorrow, also thinking it could of fried the ecu?

anything else you think it could be? check the fuses, 3 were blown so have replaced all of them.

if your reading this bob you will more than likely get a call tomorrow for some parts needing to be sent out next day delivery :doh:

check the fuses and they seem fine. had to change 3 of the fuses in the dash, 2 15A and 1 10A, not sure what they were for as the fuse box diagram is still in jap, the fuses in the engine bay seem fine. coil and dizzy are getting a voltage, just no more than 10A, and im not getting a spark at all. checked the rotor and its fine, not burnt out at all.

ignition was turned off when leads were put on, it sparked straight away and he took them off.

i had a similar problem a few years ago although it was a faulty battery from halfords. never caused any starting problems afterwards. do you have an imobiiser fitted?

yeah there is an immobiliser, i dont think thats the problem though as im sure that cuts the fuel aswell?

the problem will 100% be the ignition amplifier module....il gamble my life on it.
if im wrong you can sentence me to death by boiling my head in a bucket of hot soapy bananas:lol::lol:

that it was, datascan brought it up straight away, fitted one from another pulsar and it fired up straight away.

just waiting for my new 1 arriving from you bob :)
