There was a thread about these not so long ago. - Both Saddler and I have registered a complaint with eBay about the breach of copy-write (the image used was created by Steve for the 20th Anniversary, not for some dodgy watch maker to sell a few cheap watches).

That having been said, I've got mine already. It is a cheap Chinese watch; the picture isn't even square on the face... but I figure we are the only club that actually has the right to own one. ;-)

It's worth about what you paid for it. - It's quirky enough, and I figure it's a sort of valid souvenir for those that attended, but it's never going to be a future classic; it's just not made well enough.

Anyway, you completely grabbed the wrong end of the stick.......the image isn't copyrighted or anything so they can do what they like with it, I see it more as a compliment that someone likes my graphic, I've seen them and other things like it on ebay loads of times. It was more amazement that someone would want to actually buy one LOL ??

Oh, and if you or any other member need to use the OC Gazebo then you only need to ask.

Yeah, I didn't think you'd really mind. I took exception to the guy blatantly stealing the image, but I've got enough experience of dealing with the Chinese that I know there's f*ck all you can do about it; plus eBay didn't seem very interested.

As you say, it's a compliment really that they should think it's good enough to make into a watch... quite a limited market really given the number of people that attended.

I bought one in the end because I needed a watch and thought "it's probably as good as any". It isn't, and I stopped wearing it because it doesn't feel comfortable on my wrist.

I've just pulled it out; I don't even think it keeps good time. I set the time when it first arrived, and now it's telling me it's 10:40 (so about 3 hours out).

i bought the first watch advertised and i wear it with pride because im gtiroc proud.

got my gtiroc t-shirt, keyring on my keys which i keep on my belt loop, then i throw on my gtir cap.

my bumbag has my nissan badges sewn on it and my 20th anniversary sticker is on my gtir mug and i wear white socks with

my jeans which i have a crease ironed in the front of them, with my 15 yr old asics trainers.

any other merchandise i could buy?

if i could have the gtiroc gazebo for a few weeks i could show all my neighbours how much im into these cars........

stuff of dreams.

Yes, how about a fetching GTR-specific leather coat with button collar to go with those white socks and bumbag?



I know it's not quite a GTiR logo, but that doesn't stop others from putting GTR logos on their Pulsar/Sunny!

in all honesty, its a shame you guys never printed it off onto some mugs and sent it out as part of the membership packs, now that would be something to keep in the cupboard :lol:
