manual or electronic boost controller?

ok im going with simplicity. what is the best basic manual controller? can someone post a link to a decent one they have used. There are a few on ebay but i dont want to buy sh1t.

As above, a dawes device.
I can't access eBay from work, but they're much of a muchness really. You can pick a new one up for about £15-20; quick, easy, and cheap. - You can see why people are so keen on them.

The dawes I linked held boost rock steady on my old setup and couldn't fault it but now I have a greddy e-01 and it also displays boost,egt and shortly rpm as my rev counter thinks it ticks over at 4k rpm.It also gives gear related boost which means you can increase gain(greddy's version of it at least)at higher rpm where boost would normally tail off.
I know some people don't like them but the warning feature is very good, especially as it also gives the ability to cut boost by a %(whatever you want) if you exceed certain levels.I need to have another read of the manual to see if it can do the same for egt's.

never used a greddy so cant comment on them. had 2 blitz controllers and both were shit imo. got an avcr now and wish id just pulled out the extra cash to start with.

got standard internals and front mount, 8s plugs, oil cooler, whats best to set the boost to without remapping. Im on standard ecu, but i will be seeing edd soon.

sorry but a bleed valve shouldn't go anywhere near a GTiR (or any other car for that matter....except for Fords cos Ford owners are wankers)

I have had a greddy b 2 for about five years its never been a problem it was fitted by tdi north . The car was of the road for 2years 8 months and it never lost its setting !!!! the down side is there are a lot of counterfeit ones about .
