help with camshafts

To give you some idea, I just did some quick totting up based on a sensible/reliable 550bhp+ spec and I reckon you would be looking at least 5K in box and 12k in engine before you mapped it.

Abit low on the box ed,

Engine turbo etc 12 k
ecu and sundries /sensors and mapping 3k
Gearbox with the full works 7k+

then you need brake's , diffs, roll cage and to seam weld the shell at the front as the car tries to rip itself apart

who does the ppg box.

ppg makes the gearsets in australia and i build them, you need the cases welded and braced too.7k+ just gets the gearset, not all the other stuff and labour needed to build it properley...........have you ever driven a car with a dog box?

1k could buy you atleast 5-7 standard boxes.

Thats atleast a years worth of blowing them up at 450+ :-D

Mmmm 4+hrs to fit the gearbox, 45 seconds of use. and Gtir boxes that are £150-200 are not shall we say a quality low milage item.

was just looking at the set they do 1st and 2nd then 3rd and 4th separate and 5th separate will i be needing all 5 gears then how much would you be charging for labour.

5th gear will be needed as well as the straight cut final drive, then all new bearings and seals from nissan, a set of late model m10 bolted shot peen'd and cryo gear cases and a gearbox brace from the italian, o and you have forgotton shipping and VAT on it all.

O and all new sycro baulk rings and syncro energiser springs + the ppg or par billet steel 5th gear syncro carrier.

my cost depends on what has to be supplied.
