I did buy one in may 2009 postage was stated as 3,700 yen plus 300yen packing charge,. with cost of vent at 18,900 yen total was 22,900 yen not cheap but I think it was
Worth it . Just a shame he did not do one in cf .And just to add was also asked for 3.4 per cent for PayPal fees so another 779 yen :lol:

The robbing bank of Scotland charged me £34 for a roberts transfer which they failed to complete twice :doh::lol: paypal works

In 2009 it worked out at £154.07 still a lot of money for A vent but ,, it was the only one available for the gtir there's no logical reason to retain the standard vent if you run a front mount

I agree but a flat bonnet with built in suitable vents is still the better way to go ( Like Fast Guy) than using the GTiR bonnet. But it is a good idea to get around some of the regs, but looking at my intercooler pipes I could not run that vent any way.
As I said look at the bonnets on the WRC cars a lot of them run big side vents and if your feel your bonnet after a run you can see why.

I don't disagree with anything you say i did consider a flat bonnet from an n14 but local they where not available plus i think the bulge is part of the look of car . The reverse vent works very well if i see some larger side vents i would think about replacing these as well but the down side would be the amount of water that could get in .
