Wiper switching themselves on........even witha new switch fitted......rally

Had this trouble on the last rally. (dec 2013)
Replaced the stalk
Yesterday we did 6 stages without trouble, then the pesky things started coming on by themselves!

And going off again.
Am I unlucky, and had two faulty switches?

It is more than just annoying as you can end up with mud on the screen which gets smeared everywhere when you least expect and want it...

The car gets a proper bouncing around, even though it is a tarmac event

Anybody?

Electrical fault further down? - I'm just wondering if all the bouncing has jiggled something to a short.

I had this the other day, but when I started the car the next day it had stopped!

I'd be interested in what your problem it too...

Stage 7 and 8, on and off for no reason. Think I'm going to fit a master switch in the feed, if I cannot find anything wrong.
