Not an ICV but what is it?

Messing with the ICV today and found this screwed into my plenum.

Any ideas what's it's for or does?

Yeah that'll be it!

Cars running at 1800rpm tick over atm and also hunting around for revs.

Has any removed their ICV cleaned it, reinstalled and found their idle to be better or more stable?

Yes. - Idle adjustment screw.

I never took my ICV off, but I've taken that screw out and sprayed throttle body cleaner in the hole. - That seemed to improve things a bit, but It's never really hunted that much; just slightly high or slightly low sometimes.

Urgh, it's adjusted to the max (screwed in) and it's revving around 1800rpm and hunting for revs...

maf or boost leak started ? throttle position sensor out of line ?

Done anything funny with your mapping? Lambda sensor issues in closed-loop mode?

I've got a spare MAF that I can bring with me on Friday... but I guess you'd rather sort it before then (if you're not using a Z32 instead).
