Guys,

Just got back from the machinist with my head.

I think that the spring is mounted wrong.
This is how it's mounted now on my head:

If it's mounted wrong please do share a photo on how it should be mounted.

Cheers,
B

I've been trying to find a picture but not had any luck, I'm sure Danny or one of the other engine guys will answer later.

It looks ok to me, from the photo it does kind of look like the back of the spring isn't in the recess but I think it's the picture.

As said above your springs are fitted correctly. I looked at my copy of the manual when you first posted this thread but the diagram is misleading and shows them in an incorrect position for some reason :?

Argh bollocks,it seems I may have fitted mine around the wrong way!

If I recall though fitted the other way produced proberly twice the spring pressure over the above way,i wonder if there are any pros or cons to this?

I think I fitted them the other way due to this. as the above way don't provide much pressure at all,i also proberly followed the above manual lol

I have no better pics but there not,i must of clocked the spring, although I don't think I would of drasticly wound it up lol.

I can recall doing it as I was not happy with them the other way doh!
