Post up if you'd be interested in attending this event and I can organise a GTIROC Club Stand
Historic Gold Cup
Oulton Park (International)
Saturday 27 - Monday 29 August 2016
Oulton Park's signature historic event returns on its traditional August Bank Holiday weekend date this year, with an astonishing line-up of racing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Historic Sports Car Club. This year's programme includes everything from '60s Grand Prix cars, to powerful '70s single-seaters, and stunning '90s touring cars.
The Historic Grand Prix Car Association will recreate the era in which the Gold Cup was inaugurated as a non-championship race for F1 cars, with a beautiful gird of classically-modelled machines from manufacturers such as Lotus, Cooper, and Brabham.
The Super Touring Car Trophy will be the other star attraction, recreating the fierce British Touring Car Championship battles of the '90s, with period stars John Cleland and Patrick Watts set to appear. Cars competing will include BMWs, Alfa Romeos, Vauxhalls, Fords, and many more from the BTCC's most exciting era.
Other race highlights will include Historic Touring Cars, with a full grid of Lotus Cortinas and Mini Coopers, and the Derek Bell Trophy for '70s F5000 single-seaters.
Away from the circuit there will be massive classic car displays, action on the rally stage, air and military displays and plenty of nostalgic attractions for all the family.
