Inlet manifold

It's just a normal sandwich plate with a built-in thermostat and a cap. The sensor in the end is for an AEM temp guage.

I had to have a threaded tube made to screw into the block that the cap screwed onto.....if you remove the original cooler you'll see what needs to be done.

It also means you can run a bigger oil filter than can be used when using a sandwich plate in the usual position (between the filter and engine)

why dont you use this here as vacuum for boost meter,fuel pressure etc. ?

on my car is blocked by a black cap

do you connect the brown and purple plug or not ?

and what about the idle control ?
will it still work ?

I use the point you show for boost control etc.

I do connect the brown and purple though once I forgot and didn't notice really.

I got rid of the auto choke and when cold my car idles at 600rpm for a few minutes. It sill works though and I just mapped my PFC accordingly.

I did a search on mocal site and didn't find any sandwich plates (thermostas inbuilt) with the blocking plate at one end. do you have the part number ?

the cover plate is a seperate part, the sandwich plate is pretty standard stuff. The part connecting the existing housing to the cover plate was custom machined.

Very nice Stu, very good piece of kit mate, i must admit the OE filter is extremely close to the steering rack when fitted with the sandwich plate, if you get a group buy going ill be in on it ;-)

my engineer blocked it.

the pipe routing is not finished yet. i run out of clips :doh:

would it be possible to block all outlets ?

you could use the small one on the left for boost,fpr,BOV,etc.
and one of the bigger outlets for servo.

I didn't really understood you

You cannot block the two 12mm "L" shapped inlets. They are used to allow air in the engine when the throttle bodies are shut closed. They basically bypass the throttlebodies. The Orange connector soleniod regulated how much air passes to adjust idle.

i think you mean the 2 inlets behind the throttles.
on your pic there is only one and the other is on the right side.

will the idle screw still work ? i think yes.

but you could block the outlet next to the brown connector(right side) ?

i need to know everything for sure before i do it.

Can you show me with an arrow or something please. I can only see the red T connector next to the brown connector, which will be connected with another T to the right side and finally to the brake servo.

its next right to the brown connector.
i just checked my manifold and it goes to the valve with the idle screw.
so it can be left like it is.

now i think i know everything.

The Idle screw should still work ok.
