bleed valves are bad they let unmetered air escape VERY BAD spring release valves are not as bad.

snap, i too fried a piston, and cracked the ring... never run 1.9bar boost, unfortunately the rings cracked as well scoring the block... not good... considering i was having to strip the thing down by myself and outside... it gets a little of a worry when there is frost on ur tools!!! if u were running higher boost, then have ur turbo checked as well. as it will only have a 270 deg bearing... and i'll bet u were using 95 ron as well.....
