nice one thanks bob. I really hope I dont have to drop out as Ive been looking forward to this for ages, but with three weeks to go and with no time off work I have to be realistic about how many more problems I can overcome

yeah its a shame if you cant make it as john indri is deffo going with his rally team now in the darian.
ive been baiting him and hes risen to the bait like red rag to a bull.

fantastic rallycross driver and a remarkable car, none of us have a bat in hells chance of beating him but that wont stop me edging him on lol

do people want me to have the trophy just for gtir's running or shall i just open it up to the fastest time on the day?

there will be 12 or 13 pulsars running....myself excluded

Pulsars only is my vote.

Btw I'm still planning on being there- engine is in and pulling nice and strong. :-D slight tapperty noise that I'm not too worried about otherwise all is good

i was thinking gtirs only, but its kind of unfair to the others that have booked too in different marques, theres no reason why any of us should not be quicker

also my mechanic lee wont be going as he is now gonna have to work on that day so his place is up for grabs also

Well its completly down to you ofcourse. I see it as a gtir sprint but there's so many other types of cars coming I suppose it would make sence to get more competition on the go

well it seems the majority of those replied so far that are going would rather it be the fastest gtir so thats what it shall be i guess

I'm changing my vote lol. Everyones paid their money for entry so its only fair. Besides there will be a massive range of hp and ability within gtirs so its not like its a level competition anyway

high power means feck all on the sprint's, your actually better off with lower power small turbo cars for instant responce.

For sure but there will be a massive difference between a standard R handling setup and a modified setup. All I ment is a GTIR isn't simply a GTIR it could be anywhere inbetween a standard 20year old crappy handeling, lowish powered heavy one and a fully kited out lightened track weapon. So the differences could be massive (or large enough for it to make no difference if other types of car enter)

ben you will be surprised how well standard cars do at north weald as the track surface is shite and very bumpy, which actually suits standard ish cars better.

the only difference is on the small circuit is the straight....a high powered car will nip up there quite quickly so youll lose time in the less powerfull car.
the larger circuit surface is very uneven so handling mods and power mean nothing which is why im doing it on the smaller more technical circuit
however its just a bit of competetive fun at end of the day which is why i thought it would be best to give the trophy to the fastest time no matter what car the paid people are driving
