lol or not? Got a txt from him today.. Very abusive one:

"seen your mssages on the forum, why not tell them you bin launching the shit out of it! You're a ****ing twat! Im printing this off to show my solicitor today and get that forum sued an shut down!!"
He's welcome to sue me... I'm an un-discharged bankrupt at the moment, so his solicitor is welcome to contact the firm administrating it. Especially as, if he reads it carefully, I have never defamed him... I would love the opportunity to counter-sue for emotional damages (because it would upset me so much to have him take me to court) and maybe the pay-out would mean that I'd become a discharged bankrupt!
I have a barrister living about fours doors down from me, who I'm pretty sure would take my case.

Seriously though, how long have you had the box? Have you been launching it? Must have been pretty hard given that he told you it wasn't rebuilt that long ago... my box is 18 years old and as far as I know is a Nissan part (albeit the short-ratio box), I'm not especially gentle on it (but I'm also not doing four-wheel burn-outs), and although the synchro is dodgy going into 5th gear, the box is fine.
I think that Mr Coleby will find that nobody has said anything that isn't true, and my guess is that unless he has money to burn, his soliciter won't be interested in pursuing this one.

So, I stand by my comments; you have beat him at his own game - bravo good sir, bravo!

I had the box in for no more than a few days.. I haven't launched it at all.. because I've never driven with a flippin twin plate clutch before LOL.

I'm used to the blueprint clutch.. it slips easy to allows me to take off quicker at low revs.. this twin plate has so much friction/grip that it jus does NOT want to slip at all.. and I dont want to rev hard to launch it because it's an expensive clutch.. that's the honest truth.. and I rang him the day after fitting it to say, I keep stalling not used to these uprated clutches but other than that everything seems fine and i like the sound it makes - must have jinxed myself because only a day or so later.. it packed up on me!! :(

and.. I've now got my original gearbox back in, standard.. i drive this just as I was the PAR box.. this box ain't complaining.. because I rebuilt it well! - That pile of shit looked like his mother built it.. so sue me!.. if anything, I should send him my company bill for losses as he misleadingly sold me a box he said was in perfect working order - I've got photographic evidence to prove that 1 of the seals to say the least was fitted incorrectly!... and with 32yrs of experience behind my dads gearbox rebuilding company.. who is he to say its not! :|

Scary problem!!

Took the R out last night, pulled out of petrol station and was doing about 20mph, then suddenly the wheels locked up and i was going sideways??!! It then stunk of clutch, i tried moving out of the middle of the road and it was going into gear fine, just kangarooing really slowly, then stopping after 2-3metres, did the same in reverse!! Any help much appreciated!! Also think it was the rear wheels that locked up, but not too sure!!:der:
