well here are my times at pod, about 32 degrees at the vaux event in mid june, though i had never done a pod launch before or launced my car like a looney on 3.5-4k ......i still feel i could have improve dthe 60ft times by launching at 5 or 6k the others launched it at this sort of revs and got a good 60ft ie 1.8-2.1

my car recorderd a higher terminal speed than a cally that did a 13.4 and the same as one that did 13.2..so what does a high terminal speed mean i made a crap launch??

Elapsed time and terminal speeds are a weird science.

My mate has a Nova that does 12.4 1/4s, but his old Nova uonce ran a 13.0 dead @ 118mph.

The same day, a 1 bar GTi-R did 12.99 at 99mph.

The difference is that the R gets a good launch with the 4WD, but its gets dragged down over the last 1/8th, with the frictional losses etc.

The Nova gets a bad start being FWD, but once its rolling it flies, and with nothing to hold it back.

Even though the R will just about win, the Nova will fly past it on the line.

13.138s at 102.16mph on less than 1bar :D . (about 250bhp ish)

My last run was a 13.151 at 102.75mph , the G tech pro came up with 13.04 at 107, so not too far out.

I did 13,6 sec with my car completely original. So I think you just need to practice.

Done at the night drags at meremere in nz.
Pretty sure it is an accurate 1/4mile although not sure if they take into account the bumps. The track is built on a swap and is not the best for traction unless they prep it. But they only seem to do that for V8 meets
