Turbo advice needed. GT2871 or GT3071

dont go for the 2.2and the 2871 will be a surge monster and boost will be very bad to control

i plan to go 2.2 with same turbo - it was a gt3071r
or 87mm with 2871.

OK that should be ok. The thing you have to consider is something did go very wrong to kill your engine in such a way. I would start by getting the injectors flow tested. Do you know what your AFRs under boost were?

what do you mean with cam timing ?

under full boost i always got AFR around 11.5 - 12

since the other pistons are ok it might be my injector.
i will test them before installation
