at 7500 rpm in 5th on std 14's = 170mph, on 205/40/17's = 172.2mph
at 7800 rpm, on 14's = 177mph, on 17's = 179mph
at 8000rpm, on std 181mph, on 17's = 184 mph.
at 8500 rpm, on 14's = 193mph, on 17's = 195mph

but got shocked when by mate told me so I slowed back

when i picked the R up from abbeys after having power fc, various other bits and having a dyno done driving home back to braintree I got to 150mph I shat meself when i looked at the speedo ...The boyz at abbey had done a pukka job :lol:

150mph'ish - A127 back in 2003 racing my mates 3 door cossie, hit a patch of rain just before the Maccy D's going London bound and backed off - my mate in the cossie had the bigger balls and just overtook me before having to stamp on the anchors - he said he saw 155mph. I had a newly acquired lady friend with me at the time who was more intent on changing the CD and talking at me than sitting there and shutting up. Wind noise was awful ( not my ar.se either ) !!

dont know i havent asked him yet, only got his quaiffe about 3 months ago and cost him about 4k. But my best mate was in the car with him. It was on the speedo which i know isn't accurate but still impressive. My mate said if it wasn't for turns on the motorway they think they could have gone faster. Only reason i got talking about it was because of the wind through the doors at over 100 and he turned round and said try doing 172. I was like wtf. Is it possible to get that sort of speed.
