Cut a couple of holes out in the footwell and go Bedrock style.

I'm size 11 and some car pedals can be a bit awkward, god knows how you cope with 19s .

liam....when you made that clutch fork, what gauge steel did you use and how did you uprate the fork?
as someone has suggested already it could have actually weakened it if welded in the wrong place, either that or your release bearing or pressure plate are faulty

You may have over done the welding on the fork and created heat affected weak zones (the fork is heat treated for hardening in certain area's) and it has snap'd

I think the best solution for the fork 90% of the time is a brand new Nissan one and not welding plates etc to it. Thats what i did and its lasted 7 1/2 years with an uprated clutch so far ;-)

It was 8mm steel, welded at the edges. If you remember, i sent you a pic of the first try where the chap had inexplicably cut the metal out above the pivot. I then got him to fill it in having spoken to you about it.

As lnog as the clutch isn't fuggered it's only going to be the time and effort required to strip it down. I just... can't face the mamoth task...

cant remember that liam but it doesnt sound good regarding cutting bits out and filling them in
have you still got the pic of it?

also when we uprate them we dont use any thicker steel than the fork itself as this means you need a higher temp to weld which can cause a weak point in the thinner steel on the fork

I know how you feel mate!
Car has been off the rd a year spent about £2500 on a new engine.
Have not started it yet but as I helped build it I will laught my tits of if it blows up, as long as it's better than last years fire works display I will not be too pi!!sed off.
If I do get a light display, then I will throw the towl in £10,000 out of pocket during the five years I have had it.
I will then put me Leather trousers on, Paisley shirt, get me hair dryer out, and go get me Fiat Barchetta that I want
( to be honest I want me fiat)

S'ok I jsut bought a Mercedes Cosworth to knock about in (£550 quid!!!) so that'll keep me out of mischief for now.

Now that i don't need to rely on it so much, I will be fixing it but I will take my time to get it sorted, along with the other bits it needs.
