Had my car mapped at Fusion on saturday and it was throwing out some weird results.Spec is a forged engine with mostly Tomei parts and a turbodynamics md214(basicly a gt2876).Car has fmic and water injection,oil cooler and massive sard rad fitted so temperature isn't an issue.Tried it with and without WI(lost 3bhp with it on 100% water)and no noticable change to the graph
These figures are at the wheels with standard injectors more or less maxxed out (the 700ccs I took with me couldn't be used due to a damaged pintel cap).The problem is the power curve flattens out at around 5500rpm whereas it should be still climbing and the torque peaks at around 5000rpm and falls off quite quickly whereas on my old standard engine it used to peak at 4k and stay level until 6500 or so.
Ed said it was really struggling to breathe and Red Reading was there on the day and he suggested it could be that the Tomei 260 cams might need dialling in on the verniers(more specificly the exhaust cam).I just want people's opinions on what it could be as I want to get it sorted and get back to Ed's to have it tweaked and mapped at 1.5 bar or so-its only at 1.1bar atm.
Flywheel figures were 315bhp/300lbft and on the road it does feel quick but I know there's a lot more to be had and want it as the spec is wasted on such low boost.
Ed also gave me a nice ecnomical part of the map around 60-70mph and I managed to get 38mpg driving home compared to 30mpg on the way down, both times driving like a nun with absolutely no boosting at all.
